We celebrate our small-town school spirit every year with the NCHS Alumni Golf Tournament and the Niobrara Alumni banquet honoring graduated classes and scholarship winners. Go Tigers!
Legend of Rawhide
2nd Weekend of July
Held annually the second week of July, the Legend of Rawhide is a community reenactment based on local lore about early settlers and Native American interactions. The event includes a dramatic performance, parade, food vendors, and social gatherings. It celebrates regional history through volunteer-driven storytelling, drawing crowds from across Wyoming and beyond. The tradition has been ongoing since 1946.

Rawhide Ranch Rodeo
July 25th – 26th, 2025
The inaugural, two-day event, where four-man teams will compete for a wide range of high-quality prizes and money in ranch sorting, calf branding, trailer loading and cow milking. Watch real cowboys work together to beat the other teams and the clock and win big prizes.
